You may have noticed that every month we send photos of our food distribution operations.
We wanted to explain why.
The question we kept hearing
When we started Help the Paws, we kept hearing the same question:
"How do I know my support is really making a difference?"
That question stayed with us.
And it's more than a fair question.
When you genuinely care about a cause, you want to feel part of the change. You want to see what happens after you click "buy" or "donate".
So we started asking ourselves what the most direct possible way to answer that question would be.
The decision we made from the very beginning
From the start we made a choice: anyone who supports us should be able to see exactly where their contribution goes.
No corporate press releases.
No stock photos.
Just real photos of real distribution operations.
Dogs eating. Volunteers on the ground. Real locations. Real moments. (Here's what a typical food distribution looks like.)
Every month.
Does it take more work?
Yes.
Coordinating with local partners. Collecting the photos. Organising them. Sending them.
It takes time and effort, and we could easily skip it.
But it matters to us.
Because when you see a dog eating from a bowl that your purchase helped fill, everything stops being abstract.
It becomes real.
You don't simply have to trust that something happened somewhere.
You can see it with your own eyes.
And that changes everything.
What you'll actually receive
If you've purchased from Help the Paws, here's what you can expect:
Monthly emails with photographs from our recent food distributions. We don't use the same images every time: you'll receive new photos from ongoing operations. (You can see some examples in our May and June updates.)
Real places, real dogs. Some photographs can be a bit rough around the edges. The light isn't always perfect. That's precisely because they're taken in the field, not in a photography studio.
No guilt. No pressure. These updates aren't designed to make you feel guilty or persuade you to buy more. They're simply to show you that your support has made a real difference.
Why transparency matters so much to us
We know there are countless ways to help animals. Shelters, rescue organisations, local volunteers: they all do incredible work, often with very limited resources.
We wanted to offer something specific:
a way to support food distribution operations and, at the same time, see concrete results, month after month.
The monthly photos are our way of keeping that connection alive. Here's what's happening. Here's where your support has reached. See it with your own eyes and judge for yourself.

That's a responsibility we take very seriously.
That's why, every month, when we sit down to prepare the photo updates, we think of you too.
The person who decided to believe in this project.

This is our way of keeping that promise.
